    Dr. Sharon Eisen, Veterinarian

She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from SUNY Binghamton in New York, and later went on to receive her Veterinary degree in 1984 from the the University of Perugia, in beautiful Italy. She has contributed to Cat Fancy Magazine, with an award-winning article in 2011. She also breeds the British Shorthair and is active in the Cat Show world. Dr. Eisen speaks fluent Italian, and remembers fondly her travel throughout much of Europe during her years abroad. In addition to a love of all things animal, she still loves to travel, write and play pickleball, her latest sport endeavor.

Her daughter, Dr. Cilka Castro, followed in her footsteps and earned her Veterinary degree at the Royal Dick School of Veterinary Medicine, in Edinburgh, Scotland. She practices in Rhode Island. Dr. Eisen lives in Brookfield with her husband Peter; three chihuahuas, Lola, Dewey and Romeo; and her cat, Obi.
